Fate, timing, dreams and perhaps the planets aligning have created the union of a special horse and his team of devoted believers.
Ziprageous, the 2000 World Champion 2-year-old Western Pleasure stallion, is the dream of the Stricker family. The family's involvement with Karen Berk of Equine Reproduction Services is nothing less than divine coincidence. Together, they comprise a team of devotees and professionals with an innovative plan to raise the bar in reproductive, |
service, client involvement and setting standards for producing superior foals for the industry.
Ziprageous story begins with owner Cathy Stricker, a self proclaimed country girl who lived on a farm most of her life.
"As a little girl I had a pony that was passed down from one sibling to another. I can remember only having braided bailing twine to use to ride him." Cathy said " He was a great sport. I was always happy when I could ride him through the farm, |
especially during harvest, late at night when we had a full moon and the fields were lit up with moonlight."
Johnny and Cathy have three children, Jeff, Jason and Katie. They have one grandchild and two more are on the way.
Johnny and his brother, Art, own and operate the family business, Stricker Auto Parts, in southern Ohio. It is a state of the art auto recycling business, where they have recently added a new 14-bay dismantling building and a 60,000 square-foot |
